My Whirlpool ice maker (Whirlpool side by side model S25B RSS31) is not harvesting the finished ice. (Ice hopper is not full and is therefore not blocking IR beam) However if I reboot the ice machine and reboot the fridge/freezer (listen out for various relay clicking sounds towards the back and bottom of the freezer) then within 6 minutes the ice is harvested and the water refills the moulds. After about an hour the ice is formed but again will not harvest unless I repeat the reboot procedure.
I have followed various trouble shooting videos to remove ice maker (leaving power to ice maker) and jumping the T & H ports but nothing happens. I reassembled – rebooted the fridge/freezer and ice machine and then the ice gets ejected to the hopper as described above.
So in summary I have to intervene each ice cycle in order to get the ice to harvest to the hopper. Could this be a faulty relay issue?
