ParticipantHi guys,
Sorry to go over the same ground again, but I can’t find a specific answer to my problem. Just been to an Indesit DI61 with a flooded base. Sorted that bit out, but the thing will not program any more. Mains light comes on but no leds on panel. Is there a reset procedure? No visible damage to board that I could see. As usual, customer not willing to spend too much etc……….
Thanks,
Dave

To reset these hold the programme button down for about 3 secs – the door must be open when you do this: http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ght=#21734
I’m sure you should have some sort of indicator light on tho!

Thanks Clyde,
I’ve tried that already. I’ve got no lights on the panel or beeping of any kind. I can induce the A1 fault by tripping the flood switch. Switch off, led stops flashing but can not reset or set a program at all. It sounds like a module fault, but am I missing something here?
Cheers,

Don’t think your missing anything! does sound like the module is playing up.
I’ve had one that was permanantly stuck in a cycle and would’t reset (but the programme light was working)- changed module and sorted

Dave, if you find a solution to this please post it as we have two of these on the go at the minute with the exact same problem! 😥
Only light is the mains, one beep at switch on then they will not do anything. Operate the antiflood and the pump will run and the fault display comes up. Replaced the module, exactly the same. Tested every thing on the machine, exactly the same. Connected new drain pump, wash pump, exactly the same. Tried another module, guess what, exactly the same. Gave up for a few days then decided to have another go, switched the thing on and it worked 👿 – for about twenty minutes before it came up with drain fault. Would not reset so operated float switch in base to drain water and since then back to square one with nothing working again!March 9, 2005 at 7:21 pm #128082lotusray

hi guys its worth checking the ellement
check insulation common problemMarch 10, 2005 at 12:09 am #128083gegsy

As lotusray said, any insulation problem will make programming impossible.Possibly once re circ motor had dried out it will start to play ball. When u switch off, immediately press P button and I bet it moves prog along.
Use hair drier to speed up drying out time in base

Thanks guys. Checked complete appliance for insulation resistance, infinity on everything! Hooked up a new element, still the same 😕
Now down to checking every individual wire for continuity. I will not be beaten by a bl**dy machine 👿March 14, 2005 at 9:37 am #128085cornwell40

Had a few of these with the same problem. Sent boards to QER and have come back fixed even though they can’t find a specific fault 😕 .
Still working months on, so whatever they did worked.Tony C

Guess what?
After a few days drying out, the machine started to work again! I told the customer to try it daily and then tell me if it came back to life, which it did after about 5 days. Went back to run it and check that I’d fixed the leak ok, safety checked it and it has now gone through several complete washes without recurrence. Glad I didn’t start throwing parts at it!
