    Morning all,

    Have a Hotpoint TCM 580p with a strange fault.

    Basically it wont work, if you press the start button repeatedly (50 times) it will work for 1 – 2 seconds then stop again. There is no resistance to the start button if that makes sense, almost like the door sensor isnt allowing the switch to go live.

    Just outside of warranty and I have check the start button with a multimeter and it all checks out.

    Anything else worth looking at that I can check or known faults, believe its the same machine as the Indesit ic85.

    Possibly faulty door interlock switch, the push button is a ‘momentary’ switch so does not have any ‘feel’ to it, no click or anything like that.

    Switch is a C00195695.
