whirlpool AKZ 151 ix display showing STOP

hi guys this oven has a function button below the timer to control time setting etc but it has stopped working , it just sayes STOP on the lcd display there is a pcb with the 2 function knobs , ive tried bridging out the push button to no avail anyone ever heard of this b4 , im sure its just stuck on the stop part of the timer function thanks and happy chritmas pnc
