Hi all – I’m seeking some guidance on an odd issue.
I have a JLDWS1204, which developed a habit of splurging huge amounts of rinse aid out, but was otherwise fine. Eventually I got around to buying a replacement soap dispenser – an original AEG part – (not from UKWHitegoods I will admit). Fitted it, ran a quick wash – all fine – everyone happy.
That is, until we tried to use a normal wash cycle, at which point it trips the rcd several times – it will eventually complete if you keep resetting it. The soap tablet is dispensed fine, the water heats, the pumps circulate and evacuate – but it trips with around apprx 85 minutes remaining and several times afterwards. Also, the rinse aid light never went out despite adding a load of rinse aid – I never got to see if it was actually dispensing properly.
Not being able to find an issue I put back the old one, and normal service has been resumed.
Can anyone explain what might have been happening and why? I can’t believe there is anything in the soap dispenser which could cause an RCD trip.
Thanks Matt
