ParticipantI have a Diplomat ADP8322 dishwasher that I have had for quite some years now. It doesn’t get used a lot, maybe once or twice a week on average. There has been a problem with it for a large part of that time but it appears to be getting worse and it’s beginning to drive me crazy! There is a grey pipe that comes along the floor of the machine from (around) the middle and then goes up the back wall. I have always assumed that this was the pipe that takes water to the top spray arm. When you first turn the machine on it’s fine but after about 15/20 minutes the pipe pushes itself out of the socket on the machine floor. It then starts making banging noises! I have pushed this back in and it used to rectify the problem but, as I said, it seems to be getting worse and now just keeps kicking itself out. It almost appears that there should be some sort of rubber grommet or something holding this thing in but I have never been able to find out anything. I am asking you guys if you can help, otherwise I think that the thing is going in the bin. Appreciate any advise that you can give.

Do you mean this:

Possibly this:
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/48124181 … lter-cover
And this is the feed pipe:

Thanks for your prompt reply. It’s the third one – the feed pipe and it’s the left hand side (as shown in the picture) that keeps pushing itself out.

You’ll find that the support is busted methinks.
Sometimes the feed pipe goes but much more common for the support and filter to fail in my experience and the guys rarely replaced one and not the other.

Is the support something that is easily replaceable, i.e. something that I can do myself? I assume that the part is http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/48124181 … rm-support. Looks relatively straight-forward but I shall wait for your reply before buying one!!!!!

It’s the best part of a decade since I did one myself and I really can’t recall.
I don’t think it was too hard at all but, I’m going purely from fractured memory.

It is this part that you will probably need
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/48124181 … lter-cover
If you look at the holes that the spray arm pipe fits into you will see a rectangular slot cut into each one, these are what hold the pipe in place. On your machine there will be a crack at the top of the slot allowing the pipe to come loose when it is under pressure.
Easy to change just 4 phillips screws IIRC.

Thanks ever so much you guys. You’ve been brilliant. Unfortunately kwatt, johnmac11 wins this time. Yes, the piece that you suggested IS damaged and I am placing an order for a new one this afternoon!!!!!
Thanks again for all of your help.
PS They are not Phillips screws holding the part in place. They are hexagon screws!

You are correct in that they are not phillips screws ( been a long time since I did this job ) they are either t10 or t15 torx IIRCJohn

Part arrived this morning and fitted (reasonably!) quickly. Did a test run and absolutely perfect. Hasn’t been like that for years!!!! Many thanks yet again.
