    Hello,

I have a problem with the fridge freezer which started in the summer.
Initially the freezer wasn’t getting down to the right temperature and would constantly sound an alarm (which I believe indicates it wasn’t getting below -11).
It then started to trip the electrics so we unplugged it. Defrosted it on a number of occasions and changed the fuse but it didn’t help.

Come winter we’ve plugged it in again and it gets to the right temperature no problem. Had it set to -19 to be safe. It’s been totally fine for a month, but today it has started tripping the power again. It’s still at the correct temperature.
It will stay on for around 5 minutes, and then trip again.

I’m not certain on the model but it’s the exact same as this one I’ve found on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Whirlpool-Ame … 1434091456

If anyone has any ideas what it could be it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

Almost certainly it will be a faulty defrost heater.
