    Bosch Dishwasher SMS53E16GB/01
E24, Come across this many times and always repaired it from faulty pumps to the one way valve (flap) wedged open to pump cover etc, etc but this time when putting it on a wash it pumps first and then the motor runs with no water in for about a minute and then E24 comes up, none off the usual problems?
    Any idea on this one?

Thanks for your reply, but doesn’t the reed switch (when failed) cause the dishwasher to keep filling until it times out etc, this one does not fill at all (most of the time) it just keeps pumping for about 2 minutes at the beginning of the cycle?

I’ve definitely replaced one for the same fault and seemed to cure the problem

Aqua sensor just above the pump?

Try pouring a bucket or two of hot water into the tank upto fill level, then turn it on and drain

I know this sounds daft. but on at least four occasions ive cured e24 by removing crap from the circulation pump impellor. why e24? I don’t know, but there you are

One of the reasons for E24 is a stiff impellor on the heat pump. Does it sounds particularly noisy when the heat pump activates? It may need either the heat pump cleared or replaced.
