Usually DC motor type does this, bridge rectifier blows on lower PCB. Will also need tracks repaired on upper main PCB/controller. Done several on Hoover DYN’s

Sorry for delay Kieran,
Replace the lower BR board & repaired tracks on top. Motor always appears ok when I have seen this. Cheap BR’s i think so just component failure like the indesit C17.
Note: sometimes it’s just the BR thats blown, others it takes out the tracks. BR’s about £2.50 & tracks can be repaired easily.

Think it was RS or Farnell but cant remember which one, I try to collect good boards when I can, saves me the hassle & that stupid sticky heat sink paste all over me hands!
Just got another of these door lock probs yesterday, see at least 1 a week now.

Only done Hoover on these but there is 2 types with DC motor, please bare in mind I am only a young pup in this game (sadly not in age)
Type 1: Main PCB at top with lower BR board with separate display board.
Type 2: Main PCB at bottom with BR board also at bottom again separate display board.
Main PCB board need to be repaired on both TYPES, you WILL see track damage!
It’s Saturday and I do like a drink on Saturday so if I misunderstood please forgive me, but a display board is not required.
Hope that helps
Steve
