    Hello folks,

    I’m a repair person, but in the digital items area, the ect.

    Anyway, I have an Indesit WIB111 washing machine, that tripped the rcd yesterday, and blew the fuse in its plug.

    Replaced fuse and now the machine does nothing, no power at all.

    Have tested the socket and the fuse, both are working.

    What could be the problem? I’m happy to go component to component to test, even if for a challenge, but just looking for a shortcut if anyone can help or has delt with this before?

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Having a guess it`s the main pcboard is zapped. Have a look. I had one do a similar thing on a similar model and that was the pcboard taken out by a short circuited door interlock swt even though on occasion the door actually did lock (!)- you might see and smell burning around the door swt tags.If the same you`ll see the fried pcb components too. If so it renders the appliance et mort i.e. another one for the recycler!

    Have you checked mains filter?
