I have looked at the above machine which appears to be made by Electrolux, pnc 911989307/02.
Customer complains the machine is not cleaning.

I am not sure if the problem is caused by a low water level or the wash pump, I suspect the water level though.

The water fills up to the level of the stainless mesh filter.

The machine is only a couple of years old and the system used to control the fill level is two pressure switches mounted on the right of the frame with two hoses similar size to an inlet hose going directly to the front of the sump.
There do not appear to be any blockages in the hoses and the chamber is the sump is sealed so unable to check fully.

Is this fill system prone to under filling or are there any known issues with the wash pumps on these machines?

under filling, regular issue not easily solved. Sometimes occurs after fitting configured PCB. Electrolux assured me it is the correct “new” efficient water level….. If you find an answer let me know.

OK, thanks for the information eastmark.
I think I will have to add a bit more water to increase the fill level a bit and see if the water pressure from the pump improves.
At least this will indicate if it is a fill level or wash pump problem.

Having increased the water level manually, the wash pressure increases to what I would expect so it looks as if it is caused by the fill level.

The PCB has not been changed so no reason to suspect that at the moment.

The water level looks as if it’s controlled by a pressure switch. The fill is very slow but if too slow I would have thought I would get an error.
I can’t find a blockage but unable to be certain as the pressure chamber is built into the sump.
Are there any known issues with the pressure chambers or switches on these?
Does anyone have any other ideas what could cause this to under-fill?

    Hi twoten

Do you have any photos of the dishwasher ? As this is the same fault on a Gorenje range of dishwashers and was resolved by fitting a new pressure switch which allowed approx 1 litre more water into the appliance.

These have 2 fill stages, static (1st stage) normally around a min and a half, then the wash pump starts to run, then it will dynamic fill (2nd stage) the 2nd stage is determined by the RPM of the wash pump.
The sump also has 4 ball valves which prevents back flow and loss of water during wash cycle.

Check hoses to pressure switches and ensure that all in around the sump for blockages.

    good luck!
