    Siemens SN25M230UK/01. FD 8912.

New style Siemens freestanding dishwasher. It has the usual ‘leaks into the base on hot washes’ fault that seems to plague this range of BSH dishwashers. Many people on these forums have said they fitted a new sump with seal but I am unable to find a reference to one on the BSH or Siemens sites. On this particular model, even the sump unit isn’t listed. 😕

I would love to know the definitive way of stopping these machines leaking as my heart sinks every time I call out to an E15 fault.

Can anyone help with the part numbers required to seal the sump; I’ve repaired this machine last year by lowering the sump and applying sealant all round the sump to tub mating edges and it worked for over a year…. now it’s back! I’ve always managed to reseal the sumps by using the heatproof silicon for oven doors and making in effect a new gasket from that. It’s worked in all cases. This is the first dishwasher I did like this in desperation, but if this has failed then hhmmm….. 👿 Also does the diverter unit that sits at the back of the sump give trouble as that has an ‘O’ ring and is in the position where the leak seems to originate from.

    Any help please!!

    Thanks,

    Steve.

    Re: Siemens dishwasher leaks.

Thanks Dave; found the sump on Connect – cheers! It has been mentioned on this forum before about a ‘repair kit’ for this problem (with modified parts, I guess…) so hopefully the sump is the updated version. Frankly, if there weren’t so many of these machines out there I would just refuse to get involved. These new BSH machines are just garbage – and that is such a shame.

    Thanks for the pointer!!

    Steve.
