    Hi All,

I have a Stoves oven as mentioned above, recently the Grill/Top Oven will get to temperature and switch off, only coming back on when cool. I’ve pulled out the unit and discovered the cooling fan is not turning, had not realised and it has probably been like this for some time, control knobs at the front, the chorme paint has been lifting probably due to the heat.

Now the fan itself, there is power going to it as it is trying to turn but only very slowly, small turn every couple of seconds, it is turning freely without power.

I spoke to a local engineer last week and he said the fan had probably gone, I sourced one of EBAY, Original but used part, fitted it today and it is doing exactly the same thing.

Does this only leave the control board as the potential problem or cold there be something else causing the issue ?? … I would really appreciate some thoughts as I dont want to be forking out again for needless parts.

Only other symptoms are the bottom oven seems to be taking longer than usual to cook, circulation fan is fine and element and thermostat seem fine.

    Help 😀

control boards go all the time. more likely than the fan

to be more precise its the capacitor on the board that provides its power. it goes over time and provises less and less power to the board until it does not function properly
