ParticipantHi all,
I have been recalled to a the above unit after I replaced the fridge evap heater, cover (and fan) and defrost sensor.
The work was completed over 2 months ago but now there is an ice build outside the evap cover on the top left. I think it is from the evap inlet but haven’t stripped the fridge down yet.
The last error on the unit is e11 (freezer fan error). The temp in the fridge and freezer is ok and the customer has only called us out because of the ice and not because the unit isn’t cooling.
I haven’t taken any panels off yet as I wanted a bit of advice first as I have replaced all of the usual stuff but still have an issue, also I know how much of a cow it is to stars taking the panels off once there ice up.
Any advice would be appreciated
cheers

To remove the rear panel when it is iced up use a wallpaper steamer to defrost it.
Where did you fit the sensor in the fridge as it should fit to the left on the last place to defrost on the pipes to the evaporator,
The original was fitted to the right on the evaporator.
Also there is a mod of 2 pieces of plastic you can fit to the top left and top right of the cover this increases the defrost temperature.

Thanks Bob, i have called out to this job and you where right about the sensor. i have moved is to the end of the evap outlet.
i haven’t fitted any mod kits to this model but did fit a new fridge evap cover in November as the fan was damaged from the frost, will i still need the mod kit?
Also, is there anyway of finding out what changes or mod kits are needed for the samsungs as moving the sensor was not instructed when with any documentation for the evap cover or sensor and have had to find out the long way for a few of the models and repairs.
Thanks for the advice, really appreciated
