Having moved to Belgium and bought a flat here, I’d still be very grateful for some advice on this forum if possible!
We’re about to buy white goods for our new kitchen – everything but the cooker. All freestanding.
The lady wants an American fridge, so she will get an American fridge:-) I’ve looked and cannot find any GE or Maytag here, and the only Liebherr is too big and too expensive. I’ve read enough to stay away from Samsung. The best I can find are Siemens and Bosch (prices at 1,500 – 2,500 EUR), and dark horses LG and Gorenje at the low end of that range. Then there’s Beko and Haier, cheaper. Also found an AEG and some Thomson. Any advice?
As for washer, dryer and dishwasher…Miele only at around EUR 1,000+/piece? AEG a bit cheaper? Or Bosch / Siemens at around 500 (a few come with a 5-yr warranty)?
I’m happy to post model numbers if needed but there are so many that I first thought I’d ask a more general question.

The Bosch Siemens Amrican Style fridge freezer is made by Daewoo so see if you can find a Daewoo as it will be a lot cheaper.
If you are after all the same make and do not want to spend a fortune then I would go for the Beko.
Not the best but reasonably reliable and cheap for spares.

Miele washer dryers are known to be the best and do what what they say it will do. As Samuri mentioned Beko not a bad all round option for the dishwasher and fridge. Gorenje products are worth a look as well.

Bob, Don, thanks for the advice! Interesting, I wouldn’t have known about Beko being ok for the price (or Daewoo for that matter). There’s a Beko at 1500 which has the features I want so I may go for this one. Save here, go for the Miele washer and dryer.
