Hi all, my Bosch Exxcel WVT1260GB/01 appears to be doing a wash but the counter gets to 1 minute, then it takes ages (around 3-4 hours).

Other threads suggest the heater, so I pulled this out. The resistance appears fine (30 Ohms), and to be sure I bench tested the element (whilst it was immersed in water) and the water became hot.

I’ve looked at the drain motor and it’s clear – I will bench test this as well to make sure it is operational.

The only other thing is that someone suggested on this forum dry joints on the relay that controls the heater – I will look at these next. (I forgot to check if the water was actually heating up during a wash, before I took it apart 😕 ).

Are there any other suggestions on what else to look out for?

Don’t forget the drain pump. 😉

Hi i just stripped the bottom end, and the drain pump spins free and operates on 240v as it should.

The pcb has a soot mark around a couple of components on the component side.

Is there somewhere I can get the board repaired, or a replacement?

The board cannot be sent away for repair to anyone. And a new one Shown HERE is a tad costly.

thanks for the link. I’ve run a soldering iron over most of the joints on the PCB – hoping it’s a dry joint since I could find any component that looked damaged. It’s running a cycle now so fingers crossed.

It was a dry joint on the board – ran a soldering iron across the major joints, reassembled and all is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.

Thanks to all that helped, especially appliancefix82 who mentioned this in a previous post with an explanation of what is going on with the long cycle time.
