ParticipantMy Bosch WFO2466GB/07 has worked perfectly for years. Tonight I switched it on and it started as normal. I went back into the room after about 10 minutes and no lights were on, nothing happening. I thought I may have forgot to switch it on so started again. The door locked but no display light came on (or the easy iron light), but it didn’t start. Did this a couple of times, nothing. Then I went to open the door, it was locked. It opened after a few more seconds (clearly there is power to the machine – also a tumble dryer shares the same socket) The laundry was very wet but no water spilled out the door so it must have stopped halfway through filling. Any ideas?

No ideas? I left it overnight, still no lights on display come on when i switch it on, but the door lock activated if I press start. I drained it and checked the filter, nothing in there.

Take a close look at the main control board.

Tricky to access but do take good clear photos of the wiring connections prior to dismantling the control unit. You can’t get to the PCB without taking most of the wires and connector blocks off first.
What machine did you buy I wonder?

Hotpoint/Ariston 9kg model, just out A+++ ratings all round. Pleased so far but as with all machines, they don’t all have the same functions! Theres bits I miss on the Bosch and things I prefer with the Hotpoint.
