Hello all. The element has gone on my fan oven. I thought it should be the kind of thing I could do myself, so I’ve turned off the power and unscrewed the panel at the back to have a look. The element is easy enough to unscrew from the back, but I’m not sure how to detach the actual wiring and reattach it to the new one.
I’ve found the part available. I should be able to do this myself, right? Or should I call out an engineer?

Simple enough job for you to proceed with the job then I reckon. 😀

Theres only 3 wires involved and you swap them one for one. Theres the Yellow/Green earth lead, one Blue wire to one spade terminal and one red wire to the other

Thanks Martin. I’m OK with that (although there’s no earth lead, just live and neutral)
I was actually stuck with physically removing the old connectors. They were just very stiff, so I’m OK now.
    Thanks though! 😀
    Nice forum BTW.
