ParticipantHello
I have a JLWM1203 washing machine and it has given an E10 error.
I know this is caused by the water level not rising enough to allow the machine to continue. The problem is that the machine is pumping the water out at the same time so it will never fill up correctly.
I’m hoping someone can give me a clue what is wrong.
many thanks.Bill Tweedy

is the water actually being pumped out or is the outlet hose too low allowing it to syphon ?

It’s not siphoning as far as I can tell, the water going into the drain seems to be pumped. The pump is generally very quiet.
It doesn’t always happen and when it does it is the last 4 minutes of it’s cycle.

the last 4 mins of any cycle is spinning so it should be pumping out

Is there a chance that both filling and pumping can happen at the same time?
Thanks

Just an update – I managed to find the last error code reported by turning the program knob to the 2nd position and holding both the start button and the one to it’s left which gives an E11 code.
The tap is obviously on and the mains pressure is OK so is there anything else that could give me this problem?
Thanks

The inlet valve faulty.

If that is the fault would it not happen on other fill cycles or could it be an intermittent fault.
Thanks

You said it happens at the final rinse stage, the only part of the cycle when BOTH valve coils are energised. Therefore I conclude the valve is faulty. They often fail so it wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
