I have a Tricity Bendix oven Prod 949712038 (have no model number as it has worn off). About 10 months ago I ordered (from Connect) and fitted a new selector switch using this product code which fitted the oven and worked fine. Recently the switch blew after the element shorted so I ordered another switch (part no 358190095). But when I fitted it, it does not select the correct functions and on further study of the switch I noticed that although it is exactly the same the cam is different from the one on the oven. The numbers on the number code on the side of the switch is also different.
To try and cut a long story short Connect have sent me out another which is the same and doesn’t work. The cam is different. I’ve looked at pictures of the part closely on Connect, Electrolux, and in the store here for this part and the cam in the pictures are all the same as each other but different from the ones I’ve been sent.
Do you think this could be a batch from connect that are marked with the wrong part number on the (sealed) bags? Should the numbers on the actual switch be the same as the one that’s on the oven ( apart from the date)?
I’m interested in what people think on this.

    Thanks
