    Hotpoint WD860 31135 Display says ON and the red light over on/off button is lit.
    Cannot start any programm, if you push any button machine just beeps.
    Have tried unplugging machine waiting 5 mins when you plug it back in in the display says ON and the red light over on/off button is lit, will not cancel will not switch off.
    Anyone have any suggestions please

    one of the buttons stuck,take board out and check buttons or child lock on maybe??

    I thought it could be the child lock but could not find a way to turn it off. Will have a look to see if buttons stuck on board.
