We recently wall-vented our 3yr-old Bosch dryer with no problems (been taking vent outta the window up until then). Took your advice and rented the gear to bore the hole through the wall. Great job. Dryer operated fine for a couple weeks, but suddenly, it doesn’t heat. We pulled it away from the wall in case it was overheating but no joy. We now think it’s something to do with the venting, but we’re stumped at what it could be. we’re using approved (plastic) venting kit, we’ve checked for obstructions (fluff, etc) and chopped a bit off the pipe length…. Any ideas on what else we could do?

    Ronnie,

No clue here as to what model you have? :con:

But if it’s the one with the ‘Red Button’ on the back panel??….Hit the button Ronnie and try again OK?

    Let me know 😀

sorry for delay Martin, my reply seems to have not ‘posted’. it’s a WTA3204GB. There’s no red button on back. it says ‘Maxx’ and ‘freedom performance’ on front of machine. Many thanks for speedy response so far.

    Ronnie,

It’s clearly a fault with the heating element then or more usually one of the thermostats on the heating element I expect 😉

ok many thanks for the help. I’ll look into it. Might be tempting fate but since we’ve shortened the hose just now it appears to be getting warmer… Thanks once again for the advice – great website btw!

It may well be that the vent hose has been kinked blocking the air flow causing the over heat thermostat to trip,Try to make sure that the vent hose is in line with the hole and not creased.

    hope this helps
