Ian,
Can you supply us with the 8 digit ‘type’ number of your machine? I think it should start with the number 3???????. Usually on a label on the back near the lid. Better still, give us all the numbers 💡

The other red (that comes from the Motor) goes to Terminal 2B
The brown/white goes to Terminal ACheck carefully those red wires now! 😉

Guess??? No we’re not in any guessing game here, but I quoted you the wiring connections for the model number you gave me. It transpires however that the Timer unit has since been replaced (apparently)on later models (such as in your case) Sadly, Candy have not advised us/me of the new wiring modifications for it. 😥

hI,
sORRY I MEANT AN EDUCATED GUESS NOT A GUESS AS YOU MEAN IT.
aNYWAY THE LATEST IS I HAVE NOW GOT A WIRING DIAGRAM THAT SHOWS THE OLD TIMER AND THE NEW UPGRADE, PROBLEM IS WHEN I CONNECT THE WIRES AS IT SAYS IT NO LONGER REVERSESHi Martin,
My apologies, i did not mean it as i wrote it i was meaning more towards an educated guess rather than anything.
Anyway i have now got a wiring diagram showing the old timer unit and the new timer unit. i have the newer one. My problem is when i put the wires on as it states to do, the machine no longer reverse tumbles. It goes one way only but is working 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. if i take one of the red wires off and put the other wire on it tumbles the other way !!!. I have tried a bit of trial and error in trying the other wire on different points but then the machine either don’t tumble or the fuse goes !!!!
Any ideas?

Assuming that you have wired the timer exactly as per the new timer chart, the fault must lie at the other end of the wire – the newly replaced motor may be wired incorrectly?

Hi,
The wiring on the motor was not touched in any way as it was simply 2 plugs. The motor came pre- wired with a socket on which i simply plugged into. This really has me at my wits endi’d rather dismantle a cr01 dyson and reassemble it than this. candy (gias) won’t help any further other than selling me a ‘wiring diagram’ that appears to have a few ‘needed’ pages missing. When i rang them today they said ‘what you have is what out techs go by’ !!!. lets hope this is the start of a hot summer 😆 .Then i could throw this cic60 away !!!

KeymasterIan,
I was a Candy agent for many, many years and on occasion they still call me looking for me to bail them out the crap. If you got a schematic that was legible and not in Italian then consider yourself as doing well.
And they’re not the worst, the Chinese are better at non-information in pigeon English or, Chinglish as it’s commonly referred to.
Oh and Dyson just don’t do service information, period.
Welcome to our world.
