    My Indesit D41 Dishwasher starts a full wash cycle on ‘Normal’ (55 degree – Dial selection 2), then during prewash, the Prewash cycle indicator light flashes (the left-most one of four) and the dishwasher stops functioning.

    Can anyone tell me what is happening and can I fix it myself – or do I need an engineer callout?

    The fault is A01 which means that there is water in the base of the appliance.
    So you may have a leak somewhere or your dishwasher has overfilled.

    Blocked filters can cause it to overfill as can overdosing with rinseaid (3in1 tablets and rinseaid)

    Have a look through the other indesit posts as this fault has been well covered before.

    If you have a look yourself – PULL THE PLUG OUT FIRST :zap:

    have had the same problem with our d41 and have just tipped the machine and emptied the try with success its is at this moment purring away nicely ,switch it on and give it chance to start by the way ,there might be a little gurggling as the water puches the air through good luck
