Mod is WM74135W. Checked tacho mag for cracks and continuity in wiring right back to board. Thinking duff triac, has anyone had any success in curing this fault ❓

    Thanks,

    Eddie.

Where’s the fun in that though? I like to get me soldering iron hot and beat the system if at all possible 🙂

Good on ya, I never go down to component level, but i’d imagine its a triac that is shorted, not definite though as i’ve never tested any of them.

Cheers for the reply, I’ll have a look at the triac and see if I can crack it before I price a board.

Have had many of these with a cracked tacho magnet.
I have replaced the magnet with one from old hotpoint FHP (AEG type) motor.
To achieve this you have also to remove the brass part left on the shaft of gage Beko motor and tap on the replacement magnet. Fits a treat. 😀
