    we have a cda single electric oven that has started to trip out the fuse box, assuming the element is shorting to earth i removed the back panel of the oven to reveal the fan but no heating element. does this mean the grill element also heats the oven? after removing the grill element and insulating the spade connectors i powered the oven back up and it did not trip out, selecting the oven setting no other panels heated up so it looks like its just the grill that heats the oven too. it is a budget oven but i expected a second element for the oven. do ovens just have the one element to heat the grill and oven?

    there will be another element under the floor

    thanks for the reply, i will have another look but there was no removable cover on the floor so the only way to get to the element is to remove the oven.
