I have the above fridge freezer. Fridge is freezing over with a very neat rectangle of ice forming on the upper back wall. The compressor seems to be running all of the time. I have replaced both the electronic controller and the temperature dial potentiometer board but the problem persists.
Behind the back panel in the freezer there appears to be both a bi-metal thermostat shown here: http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/4328840385-beko-fridge-freezer-bi-metal-thermostat and a thermistor). The clip for the thermistor was broken when I removed the panel and the thermistor was hanging loose. So I strapped it to the evaporator which is where the broken clip looked like it should go.
From posts on other Beko fridges, it seems to me that there may be a second thermistor embedded in the fridge insulation and,I presume there may be a separate evaporator up there for the fridge portion of the unit.
My questions are as follows:
1. What is likely to be causing the fridge to freeze?
2. Should the thermistor be clipped to the freezer evaporator?
3. If not not, where should it be and could this be the problem?
4. Is there a second themistor embedded in the fridge insulation?
5. If so, is this likely to be the problem and can it be replaced?
6. Finally, I can’t see any sign of the defrost timer. Where (or how) would I locate this?I would be very grateful if anyone could give me any help and any one or all of the questions above.

I think that theres a thermistor embedded in the fridge rear wall, if it fails the appliance reverts to timed cooling instead.
Defrost timing is incorporated in software of rear p.c.b as far as I know.
Early ones had defrost timer located near compressor.
Its likely if there is a patch appearing that either the gas is low & struggling to cool all the back wall of fridge therefore not getting cold enough to switch off or there could be a breakdown in insulation.

I don’t think it is low gas (or at least I hope it isn’t because I think that repairing that would be beyond me). I didn’t make it clear from my original post but when I say that the fridge is freezing, it is not just that a patch of ice is forming on the back wall, but also the contents of the fridge are being being frozen as well. (Milk filling with ice etc.) Temperature going way down. I have checked the insulation at the back and it looks good.
I am speculating that if there is a thermistor at the back of the fridge that this may have failed. However, there is no sign that the fridge is using any form of timed cooling. Compressor seems to just run until fridge is as cold as the freezer.
Have you any ideas?

common problem with sensor in back of fridge under insulation, cost of sensor £9,time to replace 30-45 mins, you need to cut insulation on back of fridge compartment to get to sensor. either replace with kigspan or expanda foam to replace insulation both work well.
