    Evenin’ all,
    I’ve not come across this model before. The user interface (timer) is fast blinking with clicking noise. I initially thought faulty capacitor but none mounted on the timer. So I checked all the caps on the power board and all showing within limits. I fitted new timer with no luck.
    Customer says before this fault, it briefly showed F908 (comm problem between the power board and timer). I’ve tightened the comm lead plugs. This model hasn’t the steam function. Couldn’t see any obvious damage to power board components. I just wondered if anyone has found this a common fault.

    F908 is listed as

    Can be in connection with the root cause of the F130 or F131.
    Due to a shortcut in the Triac or Sensor connections the CPU of the
    Power board can be destroyed, so please check careful the small loads
    and also the NTC Sensor if connected (steam oven).
    Don’t exchange the Power board before you checked the mentioned
    resistances in small load and sensor connections

    can send you more info if you want but need prod number there are 21 of them with this model and there may be differences

    Thanks Dave. I’ve checked through the service manual on Connect site. I already meggered the oven and cooling fan motors, elements, temp sensor and tested the light circuit. All fine. This oven doesn’t have the steam feature.

    what worries me is the blinking with a clicking noise. if the clock just needed setting then i would expect no noise.

    sounds more like a power supply going into fold back mode

    ie power turns on and voltage on the board rises. a relay kick in giving a click. the current through the supply keeps rising till the power supply closes down to stop overload. the current drops ther relay resets and it all starts again

    you could check this by measuring the power supply output. look like it may be the green cap on the right of page 1 of the manual ( check voltage on cap if under 70v or so i am prob right if 400v i am not)

    in short prob a board fault

    Thanks for the info Dave. I’m going back tomorrow to double check. As I say I removed all of the capacitors and tested the farad readings and all ok. Didn’t check the output though.

    Returned to oven. Checked output of the two suspect 35volt capacitors. I charged with 30 volts and both held the charge for a good 10 minutes. Stumped by this, I just replaced the 220uf cap as I had one handy. Re-connect power board and bingo, timer springs into life. So, a bit of a mystery. Customer has been using oven for 2-3 days and all is well. 😀
