Hi,
I have a CDA CW494 dishwasher which is about 11 years old. It has always been extremely reliable, no problems at all. Until yesterday! Now, when you close the door, it clicks as though the catch is engaging properly, but then bounces out again. There are no flasing lights, or beeps, so I’m inclined to think that this is purely a mechanical problem. The catch in the door seems to work correctly – it is still difficult to disengage it – and the fixed part of the catch is intact, although it seems rather ‘floppy’, but, as I haven’t really looked before, I’ve nothing to compare this with.
I can provide a video, if that would help.
Anybody any ideas?

Is the most likely candidate. I’d hazard almost a sure fire one.
Other candidates are the door bands/straps and “brakes” as they call them but, from the description, I’d tend towards the lock.
