Hi All
Looking for some advice.
The machine runs for 5 minutes and then cuts out and
all led lights go out.Have to turn machine off wait a minute
and machine will restart but then cuts out again only it will
only run for a minute or so this time.
Happens on any program and also if you just select a program
but do not start it.Whilst running seems to all work ok.
Have done following
Checked motor brushes like new
checked heater and thermistor with meter both test ok
cleaned drain sump
Checked Pcb No burning,broken tracks or dry joints
Run a test program machine passes with no faults

Been looking for a Pcb.
Does it matter about label colours or part numbers so long as they physically look the same.
Is it just a case of reprogramming Pcb to the machine model.

The pcb must be the correct part number,

It does point towards a pcb fault but a very rare one indeed. :con:
The correct part number is C00199331 or the old Hotpoint number 1603828. Other boards will not work.
You also need to check on the age/ serial number of your machine because the wiring plug to the boards changed at date code 81.

I’ve sent the board to be checked and hopefully repaired
The fact that if you just select a program but not start the machine and it still cuts out
Makes me think it must be a compoment breaking down

The main test/ repair company used by the trade is EMW, however there is a strong chance that their testing facilities may not show up a very unusual fault such as this.
I once had a WMA pcb returned as ‘no fault found’ , the machine had an erratic motor action. By trail and error and a new motor and wiring harness I eventually confirmed the PCB as faulty . 🙁
