ParticipantHello. I changed the heater on the above dishwasher as it had failed (no continuity across the terminals).
The replacement part was actually ‘parts’, consisting of a flow-through heater, some hoses, and clips etc.
I fitted it all o.k. but the thing still will not heat.
Yes, I am absolutely sure that the original heater was/is faulty (I still have it).
I have checked absolutely everything; There is no live feed to the heater.
The mainly pictorial instructions that came with the replacement part(s) refer to something called a “Service test program”. I don’t know how to initiate a “Service test program” on this machine. Any clues? Anyone? Please?March 28, 2015 at 12:31 am #425949electrofix

when you test dishwasher listen for the detergent draw opening it will only heat after that
if main timer pcb is in the door on your machine check for broken wires in the door

Hi
You need to run it through the test sequence to clear the error or it’ll not heat.

Thanks for your replies Dave and Bryan.
Yes, the detergent drawer opens, and I’ve checked all the wiring visually, and with a multi-meter for continuity Dave.Bryan. Can you describe to me how to initiate the ‘test sequence’ you have referred to?
I tried the machine on different programs, but I have no idea how to run a test sequence. There was no information on it in the part fitting instructions.
Thanks again.March 28, 2015 at 4:36 pm #425952admin

ParticipantMy daughter has the same dishwasher, and has the fault involving 8 flashes. She’s cleaned the filter and the area below it where the sensors are I believe.
Could someone supply me with the details of how to run the service test program, please?
Thanks in advance.August 17, 2020 at 10:32 pm #425956electrofix
Moderatorfault 8 is a drain error as far as i can see

ParticipantHI Dave,
Thanks, I’ve told her to check the outlet pipe for blockages – it’s shared with the kitchen sink. Waiting for her to come back to me.August 18, 2020 at 2:12 pm #425958picturevalve
ParticipantShe says there seems to be a partial blockage and has called the management company for the flats to come and have a look – arranged for Thurs.
Watch this space and thanks again. -
