Neff DIshwasher flood and draining…….

I wonder if nyone could offer any advice re above. I have had the Dishwasher about 4 or 5 years. My wife used and different degreaser cleaner yesterday. Today the dishwasher has gone through its cycle and cleaned everything, although there is about a pint of water on the floor and the pump spins for about 1 1/2 minutes, cuts off and then starts again. Inside the machine was loads of suds, not seen before. I cannot turn the machine off or reset unless i use the fuse spur switch. I have checked the filter and i can see the impellor spinning around at base when looking from inside.
Am i right in thinking the anti flood switch is possibly kicking in and will do so until the water is removed from base.
Can anyone suggest why it would have flooded in first place, Many thanks
