    Hello, hope you can help me choose the best machine for a family of 5 with sensitive skin, the need to wash work clothes (NHS) at 60 degrees, loads of sports clothing, sleeping bags and at least a daily wash load, if not more. My budget is £600 tops. Does such a beast exist?

    Hi

    For that capacity of washing when you bear in mind that the average use is 3 loads per week there is only one option open to you.


    For longevity of life, build quality and performance the Miele machine is going to be the only one out there to stand up to that sort of treatment. Miele currently have on promotion the WDA110 which is being supplied with a 5 year warranty and a Miele cashback. John Lewis among others have it on offer currently for £649.00 slightly over budget but then there is the £75 cashback. Both offers are explained here

    Thank you very much, yes that helps enormously. There is so much information and choice it is almost impossible to filter it if you are not an expert. I am so impressed with your website and the genuine and common sense attitude that you promote. It knocks spots off everyone else.

    Hello again
    Have just been out to try and buy your recommendation of a WDA110 Miele but it is obviously such a good offer, no one has them in stock with the 5yr warranty!
    What do you think of the WDA210 with a 10yr warranty? Just as good?

    John Lewis here have more than 10 in stock and they have it on both offers.

    If you can afford to go the extra mile with the WDA210 then do it just for the peace of mind alone it’s well worth it.

    Having bought my new Miele machine, (arriving Friday!!) please could you advise the best way to keep it in tip top condition?

    Hi

    Articles 8 onwards in our cleaning maintenance section here We perform a maintenance wash article no.13 every week and when the machine is not in use the soap drawer and the main door are left slightly open.

    Having done this for eight years on our Bosch the door seal is like new as is the soap box area and no nasty niffs from the machine either.
