I have an above machine which has noisy bearings, but apart from the worn bearing whirl, makes intermittant banging noises on full spin only. There doesn’t feel any play in the bearings when I hold pulley and wobble drum. The spider feels ok.Eliptical drum?there’s no shavings in sump/pump to suggest this.I cannot remove the heater to investigate further so i’m thinking it may be connected to the banging.I’ve removed plenty in the past but this one won’come out ant further than 10mm.Any suggestions please.
    regards

Never had a drum go out of shape, only way to find out is to completely remove the inner drum.

    ok thanks,
The clanking on full spin- i’m presuming the spider has a hair line crack and is hitting the heater? also i’ve never had bother getting a heating element out before, but this one will only come out about 10mm,again i’m presuming its been bent by the contact with the inner drum?
    Interested to know your thoughts.regards

Same as before, open it up and all will be revealed. Sounds like something has got into the drum and damaged the heater, no doubt the metal clip that keeps the heater in place has been mangled. Why not take out a drum lifter and look through into the drum?
