Before visiting I had been told that during the previous week it had:

On one occasion gushed water (from the door?)
Displayed flashing lights one and five on completion of cycle
Displayed flashing lights three and five on completion of cycle

On visiting I discovered a dirty door seal and use of a detergent that seemed to be over-sudding. Whilst I was there I observed it filling, detergent dispenser working, heating and draining and leaking a tiny bit.

Email from customer today – apparently it no longer leaks but lights three and five flash on completion of a cycle, and customer is resetting by switching off for a while (I will of course advise re the reset button). No mention of whether plates seem to be clean or not. I can confirm that this particular machine does have a row of five lights and it is the Chinese model.

    Any ideas folks?

And I can confirm that the error codes for this have been in the Known Error codes thread since June 2004. 😉

    Hi Iadom,

Thanks for that – I should better acquaint myself with this site. A question though: If the last four lights are the only ones to take notice of on a five light machine, what meaning (if any) does illumination of the first light (on its own or in combination) have?

    Cheers, Derek

It probably means its a pile of Indesit/Chinese junk. 🙁

As it was only the customer who ‘alledgedly’ saw light 1 on I would go with the error codes for lights 3 & 5.

Thanks, I’ll go along with the Chinese Junk theory
