Whirlpool awoe9140 f-06 code and cutting out

Hello there, I hope someone can help me regarding a problem with my whitlpool washing machine.
When the machine is fully laden and is being used on the ‘cottom’ setting, the washer works fine until the spin cycle. The washer drains but aborts the high speed spin cycle. Displaying f-06 on the display at this point. I’ve cleaned the filter out on the appliance and then tried the same load on the ‘rinse and spin’ cycle. This works fine with the machine completing the high speed spin with no issue. Would I be correct to assume therefore that the motor is fine and the problem lies in the controller? If anyone has any advice or help please let me know, it will be much apreciated as my wife is really nagging me!!
