    Hi.
I have a Hotpoint WDAL8640g washer dryer that started to jump and making loud noises when spinning. It’s gradually getting louder and bumpier. I have it less than two years. I’ve been told that similar symptoms might be due to worn bearing. I’ve tried to find spare bearing set but nowhere ca be found. I’ve moved the drum up and down also checked if it makes noises when spinning. It’s nice and quiet with minimal play. Is it possible that shock absorbers are faulty?
    Cheers

A poor quality Indesit machine under the skin. :rolls:

You won’t find bearings because it has a totally sealed, unrepairable outer drum.

Unlikely to be suspension at this age, the concrete balance weights are prone to coming loose, breaking up or just ripping off the drum mountings.

There are two weights, one on top of the drum and one bolted to the lower front of the outer drum.

Thanks for a quick reply. Is that a common fault of those machines?

I’ve checked out concrete weights, they are all sound, springs are in place. Also I’ve looked at shock absorbers, they look ok but was thinking that they will look more like oil filled ones and not just so plasticky. Bearing also looks and sounds good. With every wash it’s getting noisier than before. What it might be? Should I start looking for a new washing machine?

Well you do have five years parts warranty, The Indesit Company will repair it for labour only.
