There’s no noticeable cooling within the unit, no signs of any frosting within the cabinet either.

When turned, there’s no noticeable click from the thermostat which suggests to me there’s a constant demand for cooling which isn’t being met. I can’t hear the motor running either.

Tried switching it off (briefly) then on, no difference.

Could this be an open circuit ‘defrost’ thermistor problem? If so, any idea where the PCB is located?

    Grateful for any help/advice.

    Thanks
    Andrew

Many thanks Dave, that’s given me something to go on. No thermistor or electronics on this model, excellent.

There’s an item in there which I don’t understand the purpose of, can anyone tell me the purpose of a “Dryer for freezer cabinets” please? http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/produ … r/00093110

thats part of the refrigeration circuit. its brazed into the tubes and removes any moisture thats left in the circuit after the gas is put in

from your point of veiw it cant be your fault and if it was you need specialist equipment to replace it
