    I wonder if anyone can advise me.

    My Whirlpool Sixth sense (ADP 5962) keeps washing. It gets to the end of the wash cycle. Drains and then refills. It doesn’t want to finish the cycle – last night it went onto dry and then jumped back to wash again. I have cleaned the filters but it hasn’t made any difference. The machine isn’t showing a fault(start button doesn’t flash). Any advice on how this can be fixed will be welcome.

    Sounds like a faulty module. Engineer time I’m afraid.

    Dirty sensor, i think.


    The infra red lens gets a slight scummy covering on it and it stops it in its tracks.
    It is measuring the “turbidity” of the water and needs to be clean in order to work correctly.

    If you are not competent to remove and clean, call an engineer or try our Repairs@ module
