First post so be gentle 😀
I have a Hotpoint TCD970 Dryer, I have recently replaced the Belt (which was a B*****D to fit) and Jockey Pulley as I broke the last one whilst fitting the new belt. The belt and pulley have been fitted for about two months.
The problem is the belt keeps slipping off the pulley, It did work for a while after they were both fitted, Been looking around the net and it looks like it could be the bearing? Is this the case? Although the drum seems fine and is not making any noises and is turning fine.
It can’t be the belt or pulley can it? as they are relatively new!

Depends if you fitted genuine pulley or one of the cheap copies, they don’t last very long. You can check the rear drum bearing by removing the small plastic cover on the back to reveal the bearing, if you get a large amount of black dust falling out the the rear bearing and shaft may have failed.

Cheers, Got it off ebay for about 8 quid, how much should I pay for one and where’s the best place to get one? It doesn’t look like its broken but I suppose if it’s just a few mm’s out then that would cause the problem!
Had a look at the bearing and it looks ok no dust or anything !

As I am in the Lake District for a few days I don’t hve a genuine pulley with me to have a look at sorry.
