Hi group members, I have a TV repair business and 30 years electronic experience. I have decided to boost my falling income with washing machine electronics repair. Maybe a mistake,. but here goes –
This Fisher/Paykel 701`briefly squirts a spoonful of water ( the inlet valves open only for a fraction of a second). The washer will pump water in the spin mode but will not turn the bowl. I can hear a repetitive tiny groan of a noise after the water is pumped.
In diagnostic mode the following LEDs are lit —
    Time saver
    Warm
    Short wash
    Slow

    Anyone ??
I have no diagnostic info . Could someone please email me some codes and how to interpret them.. Thanks to all replies….John. 🙁

Hi Penguin, I am confused about the so-called “DIAGNOSTIC” mode . The advice from this and other forums is obscure and incomplete at best.
If I press and hold Water Temp Down and then press PWR then two LEDS`are lit along the top row of eight’wash cycle’ LEDS. These are -the third from the left and the spin LED. Also the LOW Water Level light is lit.
Then there is a post on the forum someplace which indicates that the Diagnostic Mode is entered by pressing The Start button together with the PWR button…..????
    THe MOdel # is GWL701-U
    Enlighten me please! John.
