    Hi all,

Found this forum when i was researching Indesit washers and their problems.

We had our first WE16 just over twelve months ago , from Comet, and after about six service calls Comet decided to replace it with the WIL163 washer in January ’05. This one lasted until last week when the drum bearings went , two months usage?

Having given Comet some stick, to be fair girls who answer the phone tried there best to help me and even the engineers who turned up were polite and did there best, they gave me a new Samsung washer.

Has anyone got any feed back on Samsung washer? Or do you think iwill be seeing more engineers shortley?

Also my warrenty with Comet is up now, I do have twelve months cover on the new one but wondering if Samsung have there own direct Service?

    Thanks for any advice given.

    Martin

Good machines, easy to work on and at the moment they appear quite reliable. Don’t know what spares position might be in the future. 😀

    Martin,
If you use the “search” facility up at the top of the forum page, you will find hoards of references to Indesit washer failures and relatively few relating to Samsung. Difficult to know how representative that would be, as Indesit/Ariston sales far outstrip those of Samsung.

In my own experience as an engineer, Samsung is generally reliable, although some component prices can be rather expensive.

    Regards,

    Hi

Comet buy out there warranties from the manufacturers so you may well be seeing your local engineer if this fails.
