    Hi

    I have a Siemens dishwasher and it has suddently started to get very loud from the start of the cycle. It goes through the cycle without a problem but the sound certainly implies that something is wrong.

    Is it likely to be a problem with the pump? Can it carry on running like this without causing more damage?

    Helen,

    Yes indeed there may be something caught in the pump? Dependant on the model you may be able to access the pump yourself (see user guide).

    Other than that we need further info regarding the model number etc 😉

    Thanks Martin. We checked the pump but its clean.

    Have looked at the brochure that came with the machine and the machine itself (which is an integrated one – ie it sits behind a kitchen cupboard door). I may be going loopy but cannot see any serial number on the book or machine. How daft is that!

    Thanks anyway. I think I’ll need to buy earplugs.

    Helen,
    The info is usually engraved into the edge of the door inner panel, in the door catch area.
