I have purchased this model second hand and after a week am having problems. Firstly the washing powder and fabric conditioner were not going through thoroughly. Now when it washes, when it gets to the rinse and spin cycle the wash light keeps flashing and the cycle cannot complete. I have tried changing it to rinse and spin manually but it still flashes and also does if I try using the dry function.

Sounds like a fill problem, is this machine a hot & cold fill or cold fill only, a WD420 can be either.
What is the full serial number on the rating plate?
PS. Not the best machine to buy second hand, it will already be between 8 and 11 years old and is basically an Indesit internally. 🙁
