hi all
I have a Neff dishwasher, 7 years old. It has decided not to fill.
I have checked and water pressure is good. Aquastop inlet valve has been replaced. I have checked the connections and both read 240V AC to earth, but not across each other.Main motor run constantly and I hear several clicks as if something is trying to start
The float seems ok and microswitch operates output pump as expected.
Checked for debris in the filters etc, all clearIt’s like the machine is ‘telling’ the inlet valve to stay shut. T
Is there anything else I can check, I really appreciate any help

Replace the Impellor Jug (part no 00424099) 😉

hey Martin, many thanks for the reply. I was looking at that, but I though I would get a no water indicator on the panel.
Just as an update, I tried filling the dishwasher manually using a bucket of water. I now manage to get a little through the spray arms, but really nothing (maybe that’s just the water in the tray being pushed around)
I’ll order one up and see if it does the job

alrite. changed the jug, bit no better. Could there be an issue with the water softner system. The salt light comes on quite a bit

Time then to remove the control unit and visually check for component damage. Power unplugged before going in 😉

hi right will try that next. Although I’m starting to suspect the water softening unit as some water is now coming (or was) and water weakly was coming through spray arms at a dribble, but not through the side fill hole

I’ve never ever come across issues with water softener so this will be a first. Did you regularly use salt by the way?

ah right, I would be loathed to just buy a new softener unit as I have already bought an aqua-stop valve so will out the softener unit doen the list ofpriorities. The solenoid on it reads resistance so seems ok.
as for salt yes ever month or so

took off the matrix to the water softener.
in the attached pic, if I blow through hole A then water is cleared through B
hole C is totally blocked which seems strange
also the matrix seems grubby at the top, this may only be cosmetic though

Hole C would likely blow clear if you undid the salt cap first.

ah ha:) you can see ehay i’m not a dishwasher engineer.
It’s like something is the dishwasher is keeping the aquastop valve shut. Can I ask if there should be AC across the two wire to the aquastop in normal operation.
thanks for all your help so far as at least i’m ruling out what the problem isn’t

just checked the board all is well at least on a visual inspection, resoldered all joints, but no luck , think it’s time for a new dishwasher

just about to strip the motor out for spare before the dishwasher was going to the scrapper and discovered a very worn 50p piece stuck in the main pump where it meets the motor! Just running main wash now, but hopefully sorted.
