    Good Evening,

We have an American style fridge freezer, which is a Whirlpool FRBB2VAF20/0.

We have had issues with the ice maker in the past, making funny noises, from the part in the back of the unit, that I think opens the door to allow the ice to drop out of the front, that has now stopped.

We came home from work today to find the unit is constantly alarming.

The freezer is still frozen, the dials on the front are still showing the internal temperatures -19°C & 2°C.

I have opened the door and held the door switch and you can hear the motor start-up, let go and it stops.

How can I check if its the PCD, that’s broken?

Or any other ideas would be very grateful??

    Stephen
