    Hi
    My WMA31P stopped working and as it’s covered by a British Gas insurance thing a nice man came out and replaced the motor brushes.

    but – it then immediately started only pulling a small amount of washing water (the water used to come to the bottom of the door) and while doing that it took the conditioner right away.

    The nice Guy came out again the following week but now swears blind it’s supposed only pull in a small amount as an energy saving thing and wouldn’t discuss the out of sync conditioner usage – so not such a nice man now!

    I’ve checked and it takes 22 pints to top up to the bottom of the door.

    Is this fixable or is it time for a new machine please?

    Changing the brushes should not cause this unless the connections to the control pcb had been messed with .
    The main (only reason) the fabric conditioner goes in before the final rinse is due to overfilling the conditioner container and then slamming the drawer closed. Never overfill the container and close the drawer gently. 😉

    What level does it fill to on the rinse programme?

    I’m super careful not to overfill the conditioner nowadays after I fell foul of that when I first got the machine – I really hate waste

    I’ll have to check the rinse level as I usually start the wash before going to work and my partner takes it from there. I’ll ask him if he’s noticed the levels.

    A typical case of the owner/user not really knowing what goes on with the machine until it goes wrong. Then watches it closely after the repair and assumes there still is something not quite right? When in fact all is back up and running as normal. 😉
