How to replace a whirlpool flowmeter

So the top of the dishwasher is off, as is the left hand side, new flowmeter is sitting ready but heres the thing…. how do I get the old one out!……. its not obvious.

I would love some instruction please as there is nothing on the net that I can find as guidance, and I dont want to use brute strength and ignorance so to speak and break everything else.
