Hoover VHD 816 and flashing lights

Hi I have had this machine about 7 years, and yesterday after years of usage I got the time saver, sensitive care, and stain blaster lights starting to flash during a cycle at the same time, I was able to open the door. I have googled Hoover VHD816 error codes and all I seem to get is a list of error code numbers that have no meaning to me as the machine just displays the flashing lights.
I was able to turn the machine off and on and then pressed start and it went back into the cycle and completed the wash. I rang hoover and they only seemed interested in selling me an appliance cover and not actually saying what the issue could be.
Could anyone offer some advice on whether its worth getting it looked at, or is it time to ditch and get a new appliance? Thanks in advance.
