hotpoint aqcf852bi … not workingopened door buring smell !

Hey All, after some advise ..

i purchased a hotpoint aqcf852bi on 12-11-10 (yes this is where i went wrong!)
which came with 5 year parts & 1 Year labour ..

this morning the mrs did a couple of loads, before she noticed it wasnt spinning around and then opened the door and a cloud of smoke came out, she turned it off …
i tryed it again when i got home some 6 hours later and it dont work at all now.. ( the drum is turable by hand, (so it the motor) but this dont smell burnt ! .. (after removing the side;) ,belt ok

ive still got 5 months parts covered, but my question is .. is it worth paying out a labour/call our for somebody to look at it ? or bite the bullet and purchase something else … any recommendation ???? (about 300-350 ish)
